Hi,

I have been really struggling for a couple of weeks attempting to get

SharePoint 2007 to allow anonymous access to an InfoPath Form. I

published a form to a Form and Document library and authenticated users

have no trouble opening and submitting data from this form. All my

form currently does is send an email of the data they entered in the

form when users hit the submit button. I enabled anonymous access, but

the only problem is that I am not able to allow anonymous users to add

or edit InfoPath forms in a Form library or Document Library. I tried

to just copy and paste the link to the open form in internet explorer,

and it opens fine for anonymous users for them to see, but when they

hit the submit button they receive the following error:

There has been a critical error while processing the form.

Click Start Over to load a new copy of the form. If this error

persists, contact the support team for the Web site.Click Close to exit

this message. "

I looked at the event logs and found the following error:

IP: 123, Request: http://sitename/_layouts/Postback.FormServer.aspx,

Form ID:

urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:RequestForm-pub:-myXSD, Type:

NullReferenceException, Exception Message: Object reference not set to

an instance of an object.)"

I have looked high and dry for any information on how to give add/edit

rights to anonymous users in Document and Form libraries. Does anyone

out there know if there is a way around this or if there is any other

way to use the Forms Server to allow anonymous users to open published

InfoPath forms and submit data. There has got to be a way to

accomplish this. What would be the point of having Forms Services if

you cant allow anonymous users to access the form!

Thanks in advance for any help!

DJ,

Were you able to figure out a solution for this problem. Are you
submitting the form through Email (using a data connection) or do you
use managed code?

I am stuck with the same problem here.

Hi,
Did anyone figure out a solution to this problem? I am trying to submit a
form from an anonymous user. The form is using the InfoPath Email data
connection and submits just fine for an authenticated user. I have set up
anonymous access in Central Admin and for the Entire Web Site in the site
collection settings.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks,
-Jas

This is a known issue with the B2TR and previous Beta builds of InfoPath
Forms Server/Services. The issue has been fixed in later builds.

Thanks,

Sorry but as a new message and without quoting an earlier message, nobody
knows what it is you are also looking for a solution to.

Enabling Anonymous Access in Sharepoint Site Settings (grayed out) SharePoint Hi, I am running Windows 2003 Server Business Edition) with IIS 6.0 and Sharepoint Services 2003. I would like to allow anonymous access to the Sharepoint site. I have done a lot of searching on the web and reading the Microsoft documentation. It seems that you have to enable anonymous access separately in IIS, and then go into Sharepoint and also enable it. It seems page you don't have access. At that point, I try to turn on the anonymous access in Sharepoint "Site Settings". I turn the IIS back to authenticating users so I can get to the http: / / whatever.example.com / _layouts / 1033 / setanon.aspx Sharepoint page (Manage Annonymous Access Page). On that page, there is a selection for "Anonymous Users can Access:" which lists "Entire Site" as one of the options, but it is grayed

Enabling anonymous access to a survey in Sharepoint SharePoint Hi All, I am new to Sharepoint (starting pages, lists, libraries, and am currently trying out surveys. I hit a same snag with anonymous tries on a survey that someone else hit (see link below). I can not find the 'anonymous access' persmissions option listed by Ryan. The closest I could come was 'Permissions for this survey', but there isn't anything I can find for anonymous. I tried adding IUSR. . ., and All Authenticated, but to no avail. My Site to allow anonymous access SharePoint Been searching for a solution to allow anonymous users access to a My Site but unable to find a working solution. I've gone Central Administration, Application Management, Authentication Providers, Edit Authentication for My Site and checked off Enable anonymous access. Then went in to My Site, Site Actions, Advanced Permissions, Settings, Anonymous Access and selected Entire Site. Did an IISRESET, just in case it needed to be done. Checked IIS itself and saw that anonymous access was enabled for the My Site area. Still getting login prompt. Any ideas on 1) IISRESET (1) Inherits (1) Bsimser (1) Mysites (1) I believe you have to enable anonymous access on three levels. At the IIS level, at the site collection level and at and list level. Go to your IIS virtual server that hosts your mysites and enable anonymous access there perhaps? Launching IIS > Start -> Administration Tools Select the web site, right click and
