SharePoint - 1000 errors drive me crazy

Hi,
since years I am bearing these 1000 errors in the application logs of my
sbs 2003 servers (they are all standard with SP2). I have read for hours
and hours and tried dozens of hacks, but nothing helped. The errors are:
Error 1000 Windows Sharepoint Services 2.0: #50070: Connection to
database STS_Config...
Error 1000 Windows Sharepoint Services 2.0: #30002: Error 5 opening ...
ConfigDb
The first error occurs during boot only, the second now and then. Users
do not use Sharepoint Services on none of my servers, so I cannot say
wether there are any malfunctions.
I remember that dependon service thing in the registry, to change logon
account for timer service, to change the application pool within central
administration (funny enough I read that quite often, but no one ever
said *which* pool I should use out ot these five or six pools - and I
do not have any idea what an application pool is ;-) ).
I do not like to remove parts of SBS servers since I know about the
unmanageable dependencies on SBS servers. So I give it another try in
this NG: is there any one with some new and good ideas?
Thanks so much in advance, you could help me make my server logs clean
for the first time!
Regards,
Gil

Is there really nothing one can do against these error messages?
Rob Schneider replied to Gil Graf
There probably is something, but to reply to your query requires someone
who knows something sees it, and then has the time and taks the time to
reply. Hopefully the odds of this happening are not zero.
I do not know anything about this. Sorry.

Have you tried Google for the error message?

I am trying to clean my logs since more than one year from these
Sharepoint related errors. ;-) Sooner or later every error surrenders,
but these resist...
Moving to SharePoint - Advice? SharePoint I have had several clients ask about putting their Access database on the web. So I do not think I can put off the inevitable any longer: I am going to have to get up to speed on SharePoint - specifically as it relates to porting Access 2010 dbs and linking the two. Any advice other resources that might be helpful. Also, I imagine I will have to purchase some SharePoint hosting for development and testing, correct? Anyone have any recommendations for inexpensive hosts for single-person developers? Thanks in advance for any assistance! Sharepoint 2010 on Windows XP? SharePoint I am a developer wanting to learn Sharepoint. Last Saturday, I met a .NET architect that told me the new version of Sharepoint (version 2010) was designed to run on a desktop computer running Windows (not Windows Server). I am still using Windows XP SP3. Can I install the trial version of Sharepoint 2010 on my Windows XP
Share point installation on windows server 2008 R2 SharePoint I have registered for MS partnership programs and gat the setup CD for Windows Server 2008 R2 and installed it. I have even the sharepoint Installation cd 64-bit. When I tried to install the sharepoint server I got the exception as there are compatibility issues. I have also searched for that I should install WSS3.0. I have downloaded it and installed. After installation, the sharepoint server also got installed and when I try to add any new document under shared section, I am getting an exception. Would any one help me in resolving the issue?
