After review the installation guide it appears that I will have to install
the MOSS 2007 WFE on our SQL Server to use the SSRS Sharepoint integration.
So to use the SSRS SharePoint integration do I need to have an additional
server license of MOSS so I can install the WFE on our SQL Server?

Thanks,

You do not need to install SharePoint on SQL. You do need to install the SSRS
component on your SharePoint however.

I understand that I can simply install the SSRS addin on our main SharePoint
WFE to display reports but per the instructions from the SQL 2008 server
documentation to run in SharePoint integration mode it appears that it
requires installing WFE on the SQL server.

From SQL Documentation - "If you are configuring a report server to run in
SharePoint integrated mode in a SharePoint farm that consists of multiple
servers, you must install the Web Front End application of a SharePoint
product or technology on the report server computer so that you can join the
report server computer to the farm. "

We only have one SQL License so SSRS is only installed on our SQL server.
So based on the above statement would it require an additional SharePoint
Server license. If it does then we will simply only use the SSRS addin
instead of setting up SSRS to run in SharePoint integrated mode.

Thanks for your help.

Correct, that is the Report server, meaning the server running the SSRS
component, not SQL.

Moving to SharePoint - Advice? SharePoint I have had several clients ask about putting their Access database on the web. So the inevitable any longer: I am going to have to get up to speed on SharePoint - specifically as it relates to porting Access 2010 dbs and linking the two. Any advice other resources that might be helpful. Also, I imagine I will have to purchase some SharePoint hosting for development and testing, correct? Anyone have any recommendations for inexpensive hosts for single-person developers? Thanks in advance for any assistance! Sharepoint 2010 on Windows XP? SharePoint I am a developer wanting to learn Sharepoint. Last Saturday, I met a .NET architect that told me the new version of Sharepoint (version 2010) was designed to run on a desktop computer running Windows (not Windows Server). I am still using Windows XP SP3. Can I install the trial version of Sharepoint 2010 on my Windows XP? Will Sharepoint 2010 work on Windows XP? Decision to implement MOSS 2007 or Sharepoint 2010 SharePoint We are planning to implement Sharepoint in our company and I would like to know the following: 1. As Sharepoint 2010 is already released, do we need to go with Sharepoint 2010 OR as it is a very new tool, we should implement MOSS 2007 only? 2. I know that Sharepoint 2010 requires 64 bit SQL Server 2005 or
