Hi there,

Someone was "playing" with my main SharePoint site (WSS 3.0) and managed to
add a "Page Viewer" web part to it. Now, when anyone logs into SharePoint,
they are redirected to this page, and they can no longer access the main
site.

So, how do I edit the main page on my top level site if I can access this
page from within SharePoint?

Easiest thing to do would be to login as a site owner and go then go to your
main site URL with a small addition:

http://server/Pages/default.aspx?contents=1

Adding the ?contents=1 to the end of the URL will put you in to the web part
maintenance view and you will be able to see all of the web parts added to
the page. Then you can remove the page viewer web part.

Awesome! That worked. Thanks very much. Now, off to shot the user who did it!
