SharePoint - STSADM problem

Guess I'm just stupid, but I can't find the answer......
I am trying to add applicationtemplatecore.wsp to my WSS v3 site
part 3 of the instructions here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c1039e13-94da-4d7d-8cae-3b96fa5a4045&displaylang=en

say this:
Next, run stsadm -o deploysolution -name
ApplicationTemplateCore.wsp -allowgacdeployment
(Additional attributes may be required based on your Windows SharePoint
Services configuration. For example:
Single Server: [ -local | -time <time to deploy at> ]
Farm: [ -immediate | -time <time to deploy at> ]
To see the list of attributes, run stsadm -help deploysolution)
When I run this exactly as written, I get:

Now, I assume that since I am installing on only a single server solution, I
use the -local parameter
But no matter where I put this arguement into the sytax of the command, it
fails. It says its either a bad arguement or an error in the name.......
Could someone PLEASE give me the correct command for this.
What exactly I am trying to run is:
stsadm -o deploysolution -name
c:\applicationtemplatecore.wsp -allowgacdeployment

Where exactly should I put -local into this argument???
thank you

When you use deploysolution you just use the name of the solution you've
already added with 'addsolution.' It looks like you're using the path to
the solution instead. The "C:\" is the clue there. Use just the filename
and throw -local at the end and you should be fine.
