Asked By Memnoc

Hy,

I have ea strange problem.

One user which have total control on a site, cannot create page in Page
Library. In the site action menu, the item "Create Page" exists, but when he
clicks on, to request the page /_layout/CreatePage.aspx, he receive an access
denied.

If the user is member of site Conceptor, the access denied doesn't exist and
he can create an publishing page.

Is it normal and how to correct this ?

We were having the same issue where a user with Full Control could not create
a page under Site Actions.

My cohort found the solution; the users who are trying to create the page
need "read" permission to the Master Page Gallery

Site Actions --> Manage Content and Structure --> Master Page Gallery -->
Edit Properties --> Permissions for this document library --> add user/group
and grant "read" permission

Hope this helps,
Todd

Hy, I coud not test your solution.

You may also need to add your users (we put Domain Users) into the
Restricted Readers group, so that they get read access to the Style
Library.

Hopefully this helps other people too.

Later'ish
Craig
