I would like to know what the best course is to go on to enable me to fully
utilise the capabilities of SPS. I have been on the Microsoft administering
course but this isn't detailed in the customisation and development side of
things.... I have looked at other course offered in development but they
don't seem to be very indepth?

MindSharp and Ted Pattison offer good courses and Ted has some good screen
casts at http://www.tedpattison.net/screencasts.aspx.
MS has a lot of webcasts that you can watch for free and the Virtual Labs at
MSDN let you work through a script or play around with the software for
free.

Sorry but (as I wrote before) for specifically SPS 2003 questions someone else will have to come in. Maybe you could in the meantime
SPS 2003 to SPS 2007 Upgrade Issue SharePoint I have been working for 2 days to upgrade a simple SPS 2003 server to 2007 and am getting nowhere. Any help would sure be appreciated. Our SPS 2003 is one SPS server with all roles and one remote SQL 2005 server. Each are patched to the the upgrade again and seeing if i can troubleshoot that problem. NICE! Running SPS? Need to update SPS? SharePoint I am new to Sharepoint, so please bare with me (inherited system). I need separate web based app, but then I found this site: http: / / www.walisystems.com / articles / sps / spsdoclib.asp If it can integrate with SPS, the chances of actual adoption are much better. I have the database completely built and I get to step 8. When I open SPS and click "Configure virtual server. . ." the next page is not quite like his. First we all I have is some office thing, and default web site. I am assuming that SPS is running on the default web site. Next to the default web site it says server or virtual server" and there is apparently no way to configure this website through SPS Central Administration (see pic below). Also I cannot modify "advanced settings" on a document library due to the previous problem. My question is, am I running the wrong version of SPS? I know I am in some way, but why does say I need to upgrade
