SharePoint - Exchange 2003 compatibility with SharePoint 2010??

Is Exchange 2003 compatible with SharePoint Foundation 2010??
Or must we upgrade to Exchange 2010??

If you are simply wondering if SharePoint can use Exchange 2003 to send
e-mail through, the answer is yes. All SharePoint needs is any old SMTP
service to pass mail through.

I should next investigate Outlook 2003 compatibility, I imagine it
will not be very compatible.

sharepoint 2007 / 2010 server and outlook version SharePoint WE are planning for sharepoint server deployment and at planning stage. We are mostly on office 2003 version except few see if it will be necessary for us to deploy office 2007 before we deploy sharepoint server. sharepoint 2010 Text message (SMS) Service SharePoint Dear all, I have a install of a Sharepoint 2010 on a test machine. There I try to configure the Text message service from Central account settings. I have a valid account from SMS Officer. This account works with office outlook 2010.
