SharePoint - Sharepoint email alerts setup but not sending
Asked By Mar

I am trying to get the Sharepoint email alerts to work on Sharepoint 3.0.
When I set them up I receive an initial email saying that the alert has been
setup, but when there are update (such as adding a task) no email alert is
sent.
Why won't the email alert send? How do I fix this?

Make sure the sharepoint timer service is running. Also check the timer job
status section to see if there's a job that's stopped or blocking ... also,
check through your event logs of course.

A virus checker blocking port 25 might be an option too.

Timer service is running. I did a quick test and found out that backup
through sharepoint isn't working either (when test timer), not sure if this
would be related.
Status section shows everything in there Succeeded.
Not sure what to look for in event logs, but nothing related to sharepoint
seemed to be in there.

Using Sharepoint 2010 for data storage but still running full Access client with vba and normal forms SharePoint Some time ago, Albert Kallah wrote that with Access 2010 it was possible to store access 2010 data on Sharepoint 2010 but still run the Access client in windows much as a "normal" access client accessing the data on Sharepoint 2010. sits on SharePoint. You can also have the application sit on SharePoint and a copy gets pulled down sure local machine when you click on and on the SharePoint site, you will need access installed for this to occur. So, in this case we even replication via the internet. This seems much slicker. Again my interest is data on sharepoint 2010 and use normal windows / Access clients on each user's PC. I am not

Data Format on SharePoint pages - how to set SharePoint I'm relatively new to SharePoint. We are planning on deploying Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007. I've installed a Proof of Concept "farm". On all of the servers and are either XP SP3 or Vista SP1. The Regional and Language Options were set BEFORE SharePoint was installed. However, all date fields on the SharePoint pages show as mm-dd-yyyy, which is ambiguous with respect to the day and ca / bsanders / It's perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
