SharePoint - File Path in Word 2007 documents in a SharePoint library

When you add a Word 2007 Quick Part to display the filename and file path of
a document and have a document checked out, it shows the SharePoint Drafts
location which is only the temporary location for the file for editing. We
would like it to show the actual location in SharePoint and still maintain
the "require checkout" option. Is there a solution or workaround to this?

Hi ericsd,

Thank you for posting. This is Lambert and I will be assisting you in this
post.

From your post, I understand that you have two concerns:
1.	Keep the Require Check Out option to Yes.
2.	Show the file path with the actual location in SharePoint document
library instead of drafts location in your local machine in Word 2007.

If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Causes:
The cause of your issue is the Word 2007 Quick Part displays the
information of the word document currently edited only.
When you checked out the document for document library, a message box
should be shown and let you choose to use the local drafts folder or not.

By default the check box is checked, that is the reason that the SharePoint
Drafts location is shown in the Word 2007 Quick Part.

Suggestions:
Please uncheck the check box "use my local drafts folder" when you check
out the file and the Word 2007 Quick Part will reflect the actual location
in SharePoint.

Sincerely,
Lambert Qin

Using Sharepoint 2010 for data storage but still running full Access client with vba and normal forms SharePoint Some time ago, Albert Kallah wrote that with Access 2010 it was possible to store access 2010 data on Sharepoint 2010 but still run the Access client in windows much as a "normal" access client accessing the data on Sharepoint 2010. sits on SharePoint. You can also have the application sit on SharePoint and a copy gets pulled down sure local machine when you click on and on the SharePoint site, you will need access installed for this to occur. So, in this case we even replication via the internet. This seems much slicker. Again my interest is data on sharepoint 2010 and use normal windows / Access clients on each user's PC. I am not
