SharePoint - Active Directory Sync Issue

Hello,

I am trying to reproduce settings on my test server as my production
SharePoint server that someone else set up.

Currently I am trying to get the user profiles to import properly. I
have set up the import source connection the same.

When I am creating the new user, the name resolves fine and I do not
receive errors when creating it. It is after, when I click the users
name to open the profile information that I get a 404 error.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

For anyone that cares, the problem was that I was not using a domain
account to pull the information with.

custom code to get it done. As far as I know build in SharePoint 2007
does not provide sync features.
