SharePoint - SharePoint and ADAM?

For users that do not have Active Directory set up, does it make sense to use
Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM)?

I am wondering which option is better in the case where Active Directory is
not present.

1. Create local Windows user accounts
2. Create an ADAM instance and somehow get SharePoint to read the users from
there.

Hi,
i am Michael.
It is better, when you take an ADAM Instance.
At the solution profiler at the microsoft sites is coming an extranet
solution who is working with ADAM.

But you can go other ways, too. :-)
you know, that ASP hast got an internal Database for accounts?
Or you can store these accounts in MS SQL Database....

perhaps, it is better, when you wrote (perhaps to me directly) waht is your
goal?

best regards
michael
